Training new teachers in Mallorca
I’m here and now.
It’s burning hot. There are ridiculous numbers of mosquitoes. And I don’t mind at all.
I spent this year’s summer and early autumn in Mallorca, as an intern and a junior teacher trainer, supporting and training new yoga teachers at Green Yoga International.
Come take a look at how fabulous that was.
I started working here as a student facilitator / ayurvedic therapist. I take care of the students, I communicate, support, hold space for them. I also provide consultations and massages (oh, how much those are needed here!).
Slowly slowly, I begin to teach classes - at first I take on a couple of Hatha or Yin classes, then I finally get to what I love sharing the most - the theory. I get to teach anatomy, philosophy, Yin yoga principles and some others.
Training yoga teachers is something else than teaching public classes. This is what I was born to do. I love it. A absolutely love it. I have always felt drawn towards sharing knowledge. This is my second nature. My gift. My Dharma. I’m in the zone.
I am thrilled when I can finally dig deep. The WHATs has never been good enough for me as a teacher. I need to go deeper and get to all the WHENs, WHOs, WHEREs, HOWs and WHYs. Then it makes perfect sense to me. I love sharing knowledge that leaves no questions unanswered.
I have been through three groups of students. I have met about a hundred incredible souls, my heart wide open to every single one of them. There’s no doubt they’ll stay right there forever.
I have also found a deeper path leading to my self, and my music.
I couldn’t have wished for a better start on my teacher trainer journey.
Presence.
Gratefulness.
Alignment.
Have a lovely day, you ☀️
